The Port Elizabeth .NET Developer Community had their 2nd official event on 27 November 2008. As a whole the event went well and the turn-out was good.
The topics presented where:
- Telerik Sitefinity - How to create a custom designed web site under an hour.
- ASP.NET MVC - What's the big deal
- LLBLGen Pro - Rapid application development using LLBLGen Pro ORM
Firstly, thanks to Ian and Pat for presenting topics 2 and 3! There where a a few technical glitches with my SQL server throwing the "create database" window into the left monitor (that didn't exist) and then Ian experiencing some growing pains with the new Microsoft Powerpoint and its little quirks. Not withstanding, the presentations went very well and seemed to be enjoyed by all.
About 20 people turned up. I forgot the attendance register at home so couldn't take down the names as people arrived, but 18 people returned their feedback forms. Thanks guys! Your feedback makes my life 1 million times easier and takes some of the guess work out of preparing for the next event.
